Bad Bunny kicks off an exciting 2025 with his new album, following the frenzy caused by a cryptic post on Apple Music’s Instagram account featuring the caption, “estamos listos,” at the closing of 2024. Building on this momentum, Bad Bunny collaborated with Google Maps and Spotify to create an innovative and interactive experience leading up to the release. As part of the collaboration, coordinates for each song on the album’s tracklist were revealed on Spotify, encouraging fans to dive into Google Maps for hidden clues. This interactive rollout not only heightened anticipation but also unveiled track names in newly collected Puerto Rico View imagery, adding a layer of mystery and excitement for his loyal fanbase and reinforcing his role as a revolutionary force in music while proudly celebrating his Puerto Rican roots.
Here in Sydney the launch was celebrated with a Bondi Beach parranda organised by the promoter, managing director of García Entertainment, and Latin music consultant aficionado García.
The first track of the album NUEVAYOL includes the famous sampled sound from the group El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, who just wrapped up their Australian tour. While in Sydney they performed their hit Un Verano en Nueva York with an Australia twist in front of the Harbour Bridge.
