SPTE 2025 takes place on May 9-10 at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa. With the theme “Unity in Diversity: Exploring the Pacific’s Hidden Gems,” SPTE 2025 will spotlight the region’s rich cultural and natural diversity, with a special focus on lesser-known destinations.

From the sapphire shores of Fiji to the boardrooms of Berlin, SPTE 2025 is where the Pacific truly meets the world, highlighted by an impressive global presence. This year’s event brings together representatives from five continents: Europe, Asia, North America, Oceania, and Africa. North America makes a bold return with its largest-ever delegation, while interest from China’s delegation, organised by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Indian subcontinent is surging, reflecting a growing appetite for Pacific experiences. Closer to home, Australia and New Zealand reaffirm their importance as key tourism partners, accounting for nearly 40% of all registered buyers.

SPTO CEO Christopher Cocker shared that this year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity: Exploring the Pacific’s Hidden Gems,” reflected not just in the destinations, but in the diversity of participants—from boutique eco-resorts in Micronesia to major wholesalers in Manhattan. It’s a celebration of cultural exchange, sustainable tourism, and regional resilience.

Cocker added that SPTE 2025 will host a record-breaking 65 buyers and 79 sellers—a perfect match of opportunity and ambition. The numbers are not just symbolic—they’re a sign of the Pacific’s rising relevance on the global tourism map.

“This is more than an exchange; it’s a driver to generate business. SPTE 2025 isn’t just our biggest—it’s our boldest, bringing together the widest spectrum of global markets we’ve ever seen, right here in the Pacific,” said Christopher Cocker, SPTO.

With increased connectivity, growing interest from long-haul and emerging markets, and a strong push for regenerative travel, SPTE 2025 signals a new era of Pacific tourism—one that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and undeniably global.
