JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL(JFF)
The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) is an on-site project, which was originally organized by the Japan Foundation to promote Japanese films globally. Launched in 2016 with the slogan “Japanese Film Anytime, Anywhere,” the program initially targeted 10 ASEAN countries and Australia.
Since then, JFF has showcased the latest Japanese films while expanding its reach to include countries such as China, Russia, India, and Brazil.
Through culture, language and dialogue, JF creates opportunities to foster friendship, trust and mutual understanding between Japan and other countries/regions.
In addition to its Tokyo headquarters, JF has 26 offices in 25 countries, as well as the Kyoto Ofiice and two affiliated organizations (the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Urawa; and the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai) in Japan.
